Decker, the bounty head, looks suspiciously like Woody Allen. Just to make
sure you caught the reference, they named the ice cream place "Woody's."
In the Japanese version, it is mentioned (in the background) that at "Woody's"
you can get your picture taken with "Mackey and Mannie"; a poke at Di$ney
of course. ;)
The name of the legendary bounty hunter mentioned in this episode, Terpsichore,
is a reference to the Muses. Terpsichore was the muse of dancing.
The three chumps who mess up Spike's ride are called "The Memphis Brothers";
is this referring to something? I honestly don't know, but it seems odd to
me that Murial would be saying, "They're called the something-brothers" if
the name is meaningless. If anyone has a clue, please e-mail me.
Appropos of nothing, here's a picture of Terpschore when he was young (pant!). Who besides
me would love to see a prequel anime about Terps-baby?
If you notice any references that I missed, I would appreciate
it if you e-mail me.
